Now known as Community Roots, these abandoned greenhouses and fields (formerly known as Glass Gardens Greenhouse) are being used for community programs that restore the historical horticultural use, while also developing agricultural and land stewardship programs

The counter is now completely a chalkboard on the non-skirt side!

I've ben struggling the past few weeks with how to connect my volunteers with our to-do list. Without this connection, I'm finding that much of the basic urgent and chronic needs of the space do not get addressed.

Everyone seems to to think they're good with our google drive and I keep the to-do list on a doc that gets updated weekly. I've even gone as far as to print it out and keep a copy on hand at the greenhouse, yet consistently in the past few weeks, I've shown up at the greenhouse to find volunteers working on tasks and projects, that while not unrelated to our goals, aren't directly supporting the dire needs.

And frankly with 10+ house each week needed for mowing, weeding, and watering, I'm getting pretty frustrated that no one's pitching in.

So one more step towards trying some form of communicating the to-do list was to make our big, three-sided counter a chalkboard with handy-dandy spray paint.

We'll see what follows!
