January 6: Charles Dawes House (Evanston History Center)

My first professional gig as a landscaper. I drove a dump truck. I rarely drive and truly hate to drive, but today I drove a large truck...through 4-5 cities, between the landscape supply to the job site, hauling materials.

New revelation: I'm ok driving large trucks (as long as freeways are not involved), and I enjoy the beeping when reversing.
6 yards of mulch; Lurvey Landscape Supply in Des Plaines

I also learned about how to seed a lawn using biodynamic agriculture methods. After the yard was cleaned (we had to pull out a truckload of gravel and construction debris). New soil & mulch laid; the grass seed was applied by hand. Seed was followed by mycorrhizae combined with nutrients.

Also began reading more on biodynamic agriculture and anthroposophy...
